Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons of Treasure Island beach by preventing and responding to emergency situations. The lifeguard reports to the Head Lifeguard(s) and/or Treasurer Island Manager.
Responsibilities besides lifeguarding include performing mainte-nance and cleaning duties; may teach swim lessons if certified Waterfront Safety Instructor (WSI).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Lifeguards must have current American Red Cross certification in lifeguard training, first aid, CPR and AED; must demonstrate sufficient maturity and responsibility to be entrusted with surveillance and rescue duties; lakefront experience is preferred. Good character, integrity, adaptability, enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience and self-control in interacting with patrons a must.
